Gold vermeil is thicker and more expensive than gold plating, ( which is over base metal) and much more durable, in case you are not familiar with it.
I wired blue foiled doublet quartz ( it’s foily on both sides) with 14k gold filled wire and your choice of the French hook shown ( I enclose rubber backs) 14k gold filled or leverbacks.
You can wear these moons facing IN or OUT by just switching ears.
